# Install ai-contributing
ai-contributing = zero-runtime governance scaffold for running multiple AI coding agents on one GitHub repo: issue = task market, claim = ownership, PR + CI = six gates (GATE-1..6), auto-merge = convergence. It generates static files into the target repo; nothing runs afterward (no daemon, no vendor lock-in, works with any agent that can use GitHub).
## When to use
- User wants multi-AI / parallel-agent collaboration on a repo with conflict prevention and PR gates.
- User explicitly asks to install ai-contributing or "多 AI 协作 / 并行开发治理脚手架".
- User wants solo single-session mode with CI gates (ai-contributing supports it as a first-class subset).
## Steps
1. Confirm the target repo: ask the user for a path or use the current directory. It must be a git repo with a main branch. Do not install into a repo you are not sure about.
2. Show what will be written first (no changes): run
`curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/3900563672/ai-contributing/main/bootstrap.sh | bash -s -- --dry-run`
3. Install (non-interactive, equivalent to `generate --yes`): run
`curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/3900563672/ai-contributing/main/bootstrap.sh | bash`
If the user wants interactive Q&A, clone instead: `git clone https://github.com/3900563672/ai-contributing.git` then `~/ai-contributing/install.sh generate --yes`.
4. Verify the install: `ai-contributing/AI.md`, `ai-contributing/rules.json`, `ai-contributing/manifest.json` must exist in the
