# {BUSINESS NAME} - Quotation Builder
Turn a client's requirements into two things:
1. An **internal cost and profit breakdown**, for the business owner only.
2. A **clean, client-ready quotation** in the standard house format.
> **Setup:** replace `{BUSINESS NAME}` above and in `../../../CLAUDE.md` with your business.
> Everything else in this file is trade-agnostic and should work as written.
## Reference files
- `reference.md` is the living knowledge base: unit rates, deliverable costs, known
client-facing figures, and profit defaults. **Read it at the start of every quote.**
- `quotation-template.md` is the client-facing output format. Render the final client
quotation from this so every quote looks consistent.
- `intake-checklist.md` is the list of questions to ask a new client, plus the mapping that
turns their plain-English answers into priced line items.
- `client-messages-template.md` is the handover pack: the message that carries the quotation,
the follow-up email, and the booking confirmation. Every quote ships with these.
- `canva-guide.md` explains how to produce the branded PDF, via Canva or via plain HTML.
## Workflow
### 1. Parse the requirements
From whatever the user gives you, extract a structured list:
- **Package title:** what the job covers in one line.
- **Line items:** for each unit of work, its name, date, location, and quantity
(people, hours, units, square feet, whatever your trade measures).
- **Deliverables:** the tangible thing
