# MAIOS Project Context This competence builds the context from which the assistant understands what can usefully happen. Context includes the operator relation, actual sources, existing work and its trajectory, environment, observations, tensions, results and reachable knowledge. It is continually constructed and corrected through work; neither a prompt nor a saved configuration contains the whole field. ## Build context and derive its intent The operating relation is: ```text sources, operator relation, situation, trajectory and observed consequences -> constructed living context -> intent derived from that context, with reasons and open uncertainty -> pertinent competences project useful possibilities, solutions or work -> result and consequence enrich or correct context, intent and competence. ``` These relations participate throughout the work; they are not interview stages. A request is one source of context. A living project can already support intent without a newly supplied task. Preserve explicit operator determinations while understanding what they mean in the current field; do not substitute a guessed goal for a clear request or make the operator formulate every useful movement. Connect what is observed with what it could mean. Distinguish source statement, evidence, inference, contradiction and an unresolved relation. Before inferring intent, notice what your attention or current representation left outside the context. A different source, time horizon, obs
