# Meta Ads Creative Fatigue
Creative fatigue is the most common reason a working Meta account suddenly drops off. Audiences burn out fast — even on winning creative. Catching it early (and outrunning it with volume) is a core B2B Meta discipline, and it is exactly the kind of thing the competitor's "fatigue monitor" flags. This skill is the strategy behind that signal.
## Instructions
1. Watch the two signals together: rising frequency + falling CTR
2. Refresh proactively, do not wait for performance to crater
3. Run a rolling refresh cadence keyed to spend level
4. Distinguish creative fatigue from audience saturation
5. Pull refreshes from your creative library (see creative)
## The Fatigue Signal
The clear tell is **rising frequency paired with declining CTR**. Neither alone is conclusive; together they mean the audience has seen the ad too often and is tuning it out.
| Signal | Healthy | Warning |
|--------|---------|---------|
| Frequency (cold prospecting, 7 days) | 1.5-2.5 | 3.0-4.0+ |
| CTR vs baseline | stable | drops ~20%+ |
| CPM | stable | climbing |
| CTR decay over 2 weeks | gradual | can drop ~40% on repeated creative |
## Refresh Cadence
- **Trigger:** CTR drops ~20%+ from baseline, OR frequency exceeds ~3-3.5 on cold audiences.
- **High-spend creatives** ($300+/day campaigns) show fatigue every 2-4 weeks. Do not wait for the crater.
- **Volume to outrun it:** add 3-5 new creative variations per week at meaningful spend. Run 4-5 ads per ad set and rota
