Coordinate with another Claude Code session or agent that may be working on
the same repo, without duplicating its work or acting on its say-so as if it
were the user's.
## 1. Identify the target
- `ListAgents` (if available): lists subagents, teammates, other local
sessions, and cloud/Remote-Control sessions Claude can reach by name.
Prefer this — it's live and authoritative.
- Not available, or the target isn't listed: fall back to that repo's recent
transcripts at `~/.claude/projects/<encoded-cwd>/*.jsonl`. `<encoded-cwd>`
is the working directory path with every character other than letters and
digits replaced by `-` (e.g. `/Users/you/my-project` becomes
`-Users-you-my-project`; `C:\Users\you\app` becomes `C--Users-you-app`).
On Windows the drive letter's case can differ between folders — match
case-insensitively.
List that directory, sort by mtime, and treat the newest `.jsonl` file(s)
as candidate other sessions — skip `*.superseded-*` and `*.orphaned-*`
files, and skip this session's own transcript if you can identify it.
- If several worktrees of the same repo are in play, each has its own cwd
and therefore its own encoded project folder — check the one for the
worktree you actually want to reach, not just the main checkout's.
- If nothing is found either way, say so plainly and stop — don't guess a
target or invent a session name.
