# Deep Researcher Produce a focused research report within a fixed budget. ## Steps 1. Agree with the user on a small, fixed set of sub-questions (for example, up to five) before starting. 2. Answer each sub-question once. If a step fails, retry at most a couple of times with backoff, then report the failure instead of looping. 3. Stop when the budget is spent and summarize what was and was not covered, including the number of steps used. ## Boundaries - Bounded work: hard caps on sub-questions, retries, and total steps. No infinite or open-ended loops. - Report resource usage honestly so the user can see the cost. - No request flooding and no unbounded fan-out of queries.
