# Landing Page and Funnel Build ## Overview A landing page has one job: convert the specific traffic pointed at it into one specific action. Pages that try to also serve as a company homepage, a brand statement, and a service directory convert worse than pages that do only the one thing. The funnel is the sequence around the page — the ad or email that sets expectation, the page, the form, the confirmation, and the follow-up. **Conversion is a property of the whole sequence.** Fixing the page while the follow-up takes six hours is wasted work. ## When to Use - Building a page for a paid campaign, cold outreach, or an offer launch - Conversion rate is below benchmark - Setting up lead capture, booking flows, or tracking - Auditing an existing funnel before adding spend Don't use for: full multi-page client websites (use `web-build-delivery`) or ad account setup (use `paid-media-buying`). ## Message Match Is Non-Negotiable The headline on the page must repeat the promise from the ad or email almost word for word. Every point of disconnect costs conversion, and message mismatch is the most common cause of a page that "just doesn't convert" despite good copy. One traffic source and one offer per page. If two campaigns need different promises, build two pages. ## Page Architecture **Above the fold** — visible without scrolling, on mobile: 1. **Headline** — the specific outcome for the specific audience 2. **Subhead** — the mechanism, in one sentence 3. **One proof elem
