# Paid Media Buying ## Overview Paid media amplifies whatever already exists. It cannot fix a weak offer, a broken landing page, or a sales team that doesn't call leads back. Before spending, confirm the offer converts and the follow-up works — otherwise budget just buys faster proof that something upstream is broken. Tracking is the foundation. An account without reliable conversion data cannot be optimized, only guessed at, and the platform's automated bidding will optimize toward the wrong thing with total confidence. ## When to Use - Launching Meta or Google campaigns - Auditing an underperforming ad account - Scaling spend, or diagnosing why scaling broke performance - Setting up conversion tracking and attribution Don't use for: organic social (use `social-content-engine`) or writing the ad copy itself (use `direct-response-copywriting`). ## Pre-Flight — Do Not Spend Until These Are True 1. **Conversion tracking fires and is verified with a live test.** Meta Pixel plus Conversions API server-side; Google tag plus enhanced conversions. Test with a real submission and confirm the event appears in the platform. 2. **The conversion event is the right one.** Optimize for booked appointments or qualified leads, not raw form fills. Optimizing to form fills reliably buys junk. 3. **Offline conversion import is wired** wherever the real outcome happens off-site — every local-services account needs this or the platform learns from the wrong signal. 4. **Landing page loads
