objection-to-internal-asklisted

Convert a buyer's objection, procurement pushback, security concern, or blocking question into a structured internal request that names what is being asked, what it would take to say yes, who owns the decision, and by when. Use this whenever someone forwards a customer email and asks what to do with it, says a deal is blocked on something internal, says their team went quiet on a customer question, needs to ask engineering or legal or finance for something on behalf of a deal, or is about to forward a buyer message to a colleague with no context attached.

# Objection to Internal Ask Most stalled deals are not stalled on persuasion. They are stalled because a buyer asked something, a rep forwarded it inward, and the internal recipient could not tell what was being asked of them, so it went to the bottom of the pile. This skill rewrites the forward. Input is what the buyer said. Output is a message an engineer, a lawyer, or a founder can act on in under two minutes. ## Step 1: Separate the ask from the noise Buyer messages mix several things. Pull them apart before writing anything: - **The actual request.** Often one sentence inside four paragraphs. - **The stated reason.** What the buyer says is driving it. - **The real driver, where it is inferable.** A procurement checklist, a policy they must comply with, a competing vendor's claim, an internal reviewer with a veto. Mark this as inference, never as fact. - **The consequence of no.** Does the deal die, shrink, slip, or continue unchanged? This is what determines urgency, and it is the thing most forwards omit. - **The real deadline**, separated from the artificial one. If the buyer's message is genuinely ambiguous about what is being asked, say so and draft the clarifying question to the buyer instead. Do not manufacture an internal ask from a guess. An internal team burned by a mis-specified ask is slower on the next one. ## Step 2: Convert the ask into a decision Internal people do not respond well to problems. They respond to decisions with options attached. Turn
