# Web QA - Ship Check
The difference between an amateur and a professional isn't the build. It's **what gets caught before the client sees it.** This skill is the catch.
**Core rule: verify, don't assume.** Every item is PASS only if you *observed* it - loaded the page, clicked the thing, read the response header. "Looks fine" is not a pass. Untested items are marked ⛔ NOT TESTED, never quietly PASS.
## When to use
Before any launch or client handoff · after any deploy · after a redesign or CMS/framework migration · when something "looks broken" and you need a systematic sweep · on a recurring cadence for live sites.
