# Roundtable Question every part of this plan, one decision at a time, until we reach a shared understanding. Walk each branch of the design, resolving dependencies between decisions as you go. ## Before Drilling In If there's genuinely more than one viable approach and the user hasn't already picked one, don't interrogate the first idea in isolation — you'd just polish a plan that might be the wrong one. Lay out 2-3 real options with a one-line tradeoff each, let the user pick a direction, then question that direction one decision at a time as below. For each question, provide your recommended answer. Ask the questions one at a time, waiting for feedback on each question before continuing. Asking multiple questions at once is bewildering. ## Visual Companion (Mockups & UI), Just-in-Time When a UI/layout/mockup decision comes up, don't offer a visual by default on every such topic — only when a picture would genuinely resolve the question faster or more accurately than more text would (e.g. a spatial layout, a component hierarchy, a flow between screens), and only the first time that specific decision actually needs one, not proactively per topic. If this session has an image-generation capability available, use it then and show the result for immediate feedback; if not, say so and continue with a text description instead of stalling on the missing tool. If a fact can be found by exploring the codebase, look it up rather than asking me. The decisions, though, are mine —
