# Say it as a statement. Name no conflict.
A text written for someone outside (message, email, offer page, post) says what you do, where you start and when it pays off. It does not name a dispute, it does not compare you with the reader's tool, and it is not built on negation.
Phrases to remove on sight:
- "this is not an attempt to replace X"
- "arguing about which tool is better is pointless"
- "no tool does this"
- "where you should not hire us"
- "it's not that they are bad"
## Why
When you voice an objection, you bring it into the conversation yourself, even if the reader never raised it, and you reinforce the very thing you wanted to move past. A negation leaves in the reader's head the image you are denying. "Not a replacement for your SDRs" makes them think about replacing their SDRs.
## How to apply
1. After the draft, scan for: not, no, never, instead of, rather than, better than, unlike, versus, replace, "the problem with".
2. For each hit, ask what you actually do, and write that.
3. If a comparison carries the point, rewrite it as your own result ("meetings from week two").
4. If a thought does not survive without negation, remove it.
5. Quotes of other people's words stay as they are.
