# One short reminder, one hour before, in the channel you already use One hour before a meeting with a potential client, check the event is still on, find out where this person came from, and send a one or two line reminder in the channel where the conversation already lives. Internal, personal and existing-client meetings are skipped. ## Why A prospect who booked a week ago may have forgotten the call, and a reminder in a new channel from an unknown address reads like spam. The reminder has to arrive where they already talk to us, exactly once. An unclear send (did it go or not) followed by a retry in another channel produces a duplicate, which is worse than no reminder. ## How to apply 1. **Re-read the live event** by its id. It must be confirmed, the start time unchanged, and at least 25 minutes away. Cancelled, moved or unreadable: skip, send nothing. 2. **Recipient.** Only an external attendee from the live event, not declined. Several external people and no clear recipient: skip and tell the owner. Booking tools often put the host as organizer even when the prospect booked, so do not filter on organizer. 3. **Is this a prospect?** Match name, company and email together against recent email, the outreach database and the CRM. Skip existing paying clients, staff, vendors, job candidates and personal meetings. A matching name alone is not a match: require the same email, or name plus company plus the call agreement in the thread. 4. **Channel.** - Agreed in a LinkedI
