Write a batch of viral hooks for text-heavy short-form content, where the words on screen are the content: on-screen text burned over one clip, TikTok and Instagram slideshow hook slides, carousel first frames, and Reels or Shorts openers. Use this when the user wants hooks, opening lines, on-screen text, hook slides, a batch of variations over one piece of footage, or wants a draft hook critiqued. Writes from the user's real brand facts rather than generic templates, varies a batch on one axis so the results are readable, and grounds every line in a named fact. Pattern-based guidance drawn from accounts run at volume. It improves the odds and guarantees nothing.

# Viral hook writer, for text-heavy formats A text-heavy format is one where the words on screen carry the post. One clip with a line burned over it. A slideshow whose first slide decides whether the other nine get seen. There's no voiceover doing the work and no edit to hide behind, so the hook is almost the whole product. Same body, different hook, and the result swings by four orders of magnitude. That's the reason this skill exists. **Never hand back one hook.** A batch is the deliverable. Twelve lines over one clip is twelve posts off one piece of footage, and the numbers pick the winner, not you. ## Step 1. Get the brand before writing anything Generic hooks are the failure mode of every AI hook tool, and they come from skipping this step. Don't skip it. Look for the facts first. Check the repo or the folder for a brand file, a README, a landing page, product copy, testimonials, past posts. If the user has a Quick Throttle install running, `curl -s localhost:5180/api/brands/<id>/constraints` returns the rules in about 500 bytes. If you find nothing, ask for these five and nothing more: 1. Who is the post for, in the words they'd use about themselves. 2. What do they do today instead of using the product. 3. One real number, price, time or count you're allowed to say out loud. 4. One thing a real user actually said, copied exactly. 5. Anything you must never say. Five answers is enough. Asking for twelve gets you abandoned halfway. ## Step 2. Pick one axis and
