# Reddit Ads — Skill
Two ways to launch Reddit campaigns:
- **Through the browser** — Claude drives ads.reddit.com directly in Chrome. Works for anyone with a Reddit Ads account.
- **Through Reddit's Ads API** — faster for bulk work. Requires OAuth setup **and** allow-list approval from Reddit's ads team (for write access — read-only is available sooner).
Both paths create the campaign in a Paused state; nothing serves until you say launch.
**Why Reddit for paid ads:** subreddit targeting. You point ads at specific communities (r/CryptoCurrency, r/fintech, r/webdev, etc.) rather than guessing at interest categories. It's Reddit's main advantage over Meta / TikTok / X.
