# Company Filing Signal Lead Generation
Company registries publish filings that most people never read: annual accounts, director appointments and resignations, share allotments, registered charges, address changes and status updates. Each is dated, legally required and free.
Read together they describe what's happening inside a company more reliably than anything it says about itself.
## What each filing tells you
| Filing | Signal |
|---|---|
| **Annual accounts** | Turnover, headcount, assets, cash position, direction of travel |
| **Share allotment / issue** | Money came in. Often a funding round before it's announced |
| **Registered charge created** | New borrowing, usually asset or growth finance |
| **Charge satisfied** | Debt cleared. Balance sheet improving |
| **Director appointed** | New leadership. See `job-change-trigger-leads` |
| **Multiple director resignations** | Instability |
| **Registered office change** | Relocation, or a move to an accountant's address |
| **Accounts filed late** | Administrative pressure, sometimes worse |
| **Change of accounting reference date** | Often precedes a transaction or restructure |
| **Company status change** | Dissolution, liquidation, administration |
**A share allotment is the underused one.** Companies must file it when new shares are issued, and it frequently appears weeks before any funding announcement. That's a funding signal ahead of the crowd, which is the opposite of the usual problem with funding triggers
