# Hiring Signal Lead Generation A job post is a company publicly committing budget to a problem, describing that problem in its own words, on a dated public page. Very little else in prospecting is that direct. This playbook targets the **hiring companies** as prospects. If you want to sell *to* recruitment agencies instead, see `recruitment-agency-leads`. ## Three signals in one post Most people use only the first. **1. They're building the function you serve.** The obvious one. A company posting two SDR roles is investing in outbound and will need tooling around it. **2. Their tech stack, stated openly.** Requirements sections list tools by name, dated, in writing. This is more reliable than any technographic detection product, because the company is telling you rather than a script inferring it. **3. The pain, in their own words.** The responsibilities section describes problems they have right now. > "You'll own our outbound motion end to end — right now it's spreadsheets and a shared inbox, and we need someone to build a real process." That's a self-described, current, quotable problem. Nothing you could infer comes close. ## Map roles to your product | You sell | They're hiring | |---|---| | Sales tooling | SDR, BDR, AE, Head of Sales, RevOps | | Marketing tooling | Growth, demand gen, content, marketing ops | | Data and analytics | Analyst, BI, data engineer, first data hire | | Support software | Support lead, CX manager, first support hire | | Finance soft
