# Skill: Plan Idea Follow the canonical workflow in [`playbooks/idea-planning.md`](../../playbooks/idea-planning.md). Use [`templates/idea.md`](../../templates/idea.md) unless the project has an approved local template. ## Process 1. Read current source and retrieve relevant project knowledge. 2. Create or update one durable idea artifact. 3. Keep observations, inference, assumptions and proposals distinct. 4. Keep the artifact in draft until approval is explicit. 5. Route it to PRD, an execution packet, one task, deferred or rejected. Do not invent owner approval, turn a proposed implementation into a verified requirement, or route unapproved work into execution. ## Output A reviewable idea artifact, normally `planning/10-ideas/IDEA-NNN-<slug>.md`, plus a short statement of its status, approval gap and next route.
