# The wiki A **project** is a folder `atlas/<name>/` inside the user's work, a repository or a folder of documents. It holds two halves: the **wiki**, what the project knows, and the **threads**, what it does. This skill orients in the project and holds the contract for the wiki half. The `thread` skill does the same for the threads, and `atlas` sees every project. Tools: `status`. Reads [operations.md](references/operations.md) before any write. ## The folder ```text atlas/<name>/ ├── project.json the identity: id, name, description, mode, threads, members ├── wiki/ the pages: sources, entities, concepts; index, log, hot, overview │ └── projects/ the mirrors of the members, when the project has any ├── .raw/captured/ the immutable copy of every source the wiki cites ├── inbox/ what the user drops in: sources, and notes that become threads ├── ideas/ the user's own scratch notes; nothing writes here └── threads/ the other half ``` The folder is an Obsidian vault. The wiki commits into the repository that holds the work, scoped to the wiki's own paths, so an operation never touches the code. ## Find the place Call `status`. It gives the project's id, name, description, and mode, what git says about the work, the page that describes the work and how far behind it is, the thread counts, the members, the wiki's page count and git state, the inbox, and warnings. The session hook's first line names the place too. - In no pro
