# Weekly Report Pull a week of noise into a report a busy person reads in a minute. ## Inputs needed - The raw updates: what got done, numbers, blockers, what's next. - (Optional) Who it's for (manager, client, team) and any metrics to track. ## Steps 1. Open with a one-line headline: is the week on track, ahead, or at risk. 2. List what shipped or moved forward (outcomes, not activity). 3. Show key numbers with the change from last period if known. 4. Call out blockers and what's needed to clear them. 5. State the focus for next week. ## Output format ``` Status: On track / At risk / Behind - one-line why Highlights: what moved forward Metrics: number (change vs last week) Blockers: issue - what's needed Next week: top priorities ``` ## Voice & rules - Report outcomes, not a task diary. - Be straight about blockers. A report that hides risk is useless. - Tailor the depth: clients want outcomes, managers want blockers.
