Remove AI writing patterns from text. Rewrite AI-sounding prose so it reads like the human writer: not-X-but-Y contrasts, forced triads, em dashes, chatbot residue, inflated significance, and statistical tells. Use novahiz-humanizer on frontend design tasks (R13); it is not required by the gate outside design.

# novahiz-humanizer: remove AI writing patterns Rewrite AI-sounding text so it reads like the writer, not a chatbot. Keep what it says. Do not make anything up. ## Why generated prose sounds generated A language model predicts the next token that fits the widest audience. A person writes for one reader on one subject, so human choices are uneven and specific, sometimes strange. Every entry in the catalogue below is one form of the safe default: the wording that never surprises anyone. Two working rules follow. Every sentence you keep must add something the reader did not already have. A tell earns an edit in proportion to how rarely a careful writer would choose it on purpose. ### Signals worth measuring Detectors do not hunt for banned words. They score statistical shape: | Signal | What moves it | Generated text | Human range | |---|---|---|---| | Predictability of the next word | Smoothness of the token stream | Low surprise, statistically flat | Occasional sharp turns | | Sentence-length spread | Variation from sentence to sentence | Tight cluster, low spread | Wide swings, very short lines beside very long ones | | Lexical diversity over a passage | How often word types repeat | Narrow band, many near-repeats | Broader band, fewer near-repeats | | Formal connector rate | however, moreover, furthermore as openers | Present in almost every paragraph | Rare; plainer joins instead | | Signature model vocabulary | delve, tapestry, crucial, landscape used figuratively |
