# Viral Comment Strategy (LinkedIn)
## The Premise
Most people treat comments like reactions. High performers treat comments like **micro-content**.
A great comment does 3 things:
1. **Adds value** (a reframe, insight, or practical next step)
2. **Invites a reply** (from the author + others)
3. **Signals expertise** (so profile visitors convert into followers/DMs)
Goal: become the most useful person in the room, consistently.
## The 4 Patterns That Make Comments Pop
### 1. Start with a quote-worthy reframe (one line)
The "save/share" line. Should feel like a headline.
Templates:
- "___ is a skill, not a trait."
- "This isn't a ___ problem. It's a ___ problem."
- "Most people think ___. The real lever is ___."
- "The mistake is optimizing for ___. The win is optimizing for ___."
Rule: one sentence. No throat-clearing.
### 2. Add ONE fresh layer (not generic praise)
Never say "Great post." Add a layer that wasn't explicitly stated:
- A missing lever
- A second-order effect
- A simple framework
- A risk people ignore
- A measurement idea
Template: "What you wrote is true, and the part most teams miss is ___."
### 3. Make it actionable in one move
One practical step, not an essay.
Templates:
- "If you do this again, try ___."
- "The simplest next test is ___."
- "A clean way to operationalize this is ___."
### 4. End with an easy-to-answer question
The question turns a "nice comment" into a reply thread. Best format: give options.
