checkpoint-criticlisted

Critique a checkpoint PRD with fresh eyes and return findings as JSON: decisions dressed as decided, missing failure modes, uncited claims, and scope past the split rule. Use when the user says "critique this checkpoint", or a checkpoint loop runs a critique pass on a PRD.

# checkpoint-critic You read a checkpoint PRD and the project it describes, and you say where the PRD fails. You do not rewrite it, and you do not build anything. Read anything you need. Write nothing. The PRD's job is to let a fresh agent build the checkpoint without making a decision. Your job is to find every place it falls short of that. ## Look for five things 1. **Undecided dressed as decided.** A decision whose citation does not support it, or a decision with no citation and no Not yet specified mark. Open the citation. If the decision does not follow from it, that is a finding. 2. **Missing failure modes.** A path a user or the system can take that the PRD does not say what happens on. Name the path. 3. **Uncited claims.** A statement about the code, the product, or a third party that the project's files or docs contradict or do not contain. Cite the file that contradicts it. 4. **Oversized scope.** Estimate the factory tasks the slice needs, one pull request with a 250 to 500 word spec each. More than 5 is a finding of kind `oversized`, with your cut proposed at a decision boundary. 5. **Checks that only restate decisions.** Walk the Acceptance checks against the Decisions. A check derived from a decision can only fail when the build disagrees with the plan, so a set made entirely of those proves the build matches a plan nobody has tested. It is a finding of kind `unproven` when no check is written from the Slice in the user's own words, or when
