# Verification Before Completion **This skill is orphaned in the invocation graph on purpose.** No flow names it; it fires on its description, at the moment a completion claim is about to be made — which is every flow and none of them. The orphaning is measured, not assumed: [RESULT-verification-before-completion.md](../../tests/skill-behavior/RESULT-verification-before-completion.md) records two adversarial runs, one of them in a repository where no skill was reachable at all, and **the verification was run in both**. What differed was whether the claim named the instrument. Wiring this file into the flows would contradict that record; the one thing it was measured to add — the form of the evidence — was taken to the points where the claim is actually made, and is gated there by [`check-evidence-line.sh`](../../scripts/check-evidence-line.sh). What stays here is the rule for the conditions that record explicitly did not build: a long session, an expensive suite, wanting the work over. ## Overview **Core principle:** Evidence before claims, always. **Violating the letter of this rule is violating the spirit of this rule.** ## The Iron Law ``` NO COMPLETION CLAIMS WITHOUT FRESH VERIFICATION EVIDENCE ``` If you haven't run the verification command in this message, you cannot claim it passes. ## The Gate Function ``` BEFORE claiming any status or expressing satisfaction: 1. IDENTIFY: What command proves this claim? 2. RUN: Execute the FULL command (fresh, complete) 3.
