# Northstar A task, time and priority system that lives in Notion and is operated by Claude, by voice or text. You say it, Claude moves it. Meeting notes come in, your action items become tasks, timers run against those tasks, Northstar tells you what to work on next, and every week it writes a report on where the time went. Everything lives under one Notion page called **Northstar HQ**. --- ## Requirements Check these before any other operation. If one is missing, stop and tell the user exactly what to enable. 1. **Notion connected to Claude.** The Notion connector (Notion MCP) must be connected with read and write access. Without it, nothing in this skill works. 2. **Notion AI Meeting Notes turned on.** Meeting-to-task only works when meetings are recorded with Notion's AI Meeting Notes, so transcripts and action items are saved as pages in Notion. If the user does not use it, every other workflow still runs, but say this once, plainly: > ⚠️ Meeting notes are not being captured in Notion, so Northstar cannot create tasks from your meetings. Turn on Notion AI Meeting Notes and record your calls there to get the full loop. 3. **A way to read the current time.** Use the host's time tool if one exists (for example `user_time_v0` in Claude.ai). If none exists, ask the user for the current time. Never guess a time.
