# CodeRabbit Review
CodeRabbit supplies an additional review, not a replacement for tests or local
judgment. A generic review request stays with the existing review workflow unless
the user selects CodeRabbit. Installation does not authorize sending code.
## Scope and readiness
Confirm the intended Git repository and diff/base. Explain that a review sends
selected code to CodeRabbit, and obtain approval for that scope before the first
submission unless the user already explicitly requested that CodeRabbit review.
Exclude secrets and unrelated work. Do not enable untracked-file submission or
paid usage beyond included limits without explicit authorization.
Check `coderabbit --version`, `coderabbit review --help`, and authentication using
`coderabbit auth status --agent` where supported. Report readiness without printing
account details or credentials. Missing installation or authentication is a
blocker, not permission to install, log in, update, or change organization silently.
## Review
Use the live CLI help to select a bounded review, with agent-readable output when
available. Run from the confirmed repository rather than assuming the current
working directory is correct. Inspect command status as well as findings: a failed,
rate-limited, or incomplete review is not a clean result.
The upstream skill is optional vendor guidance. Its older `-t` examples do not
match CLI 0.7.6, which exposes `--committed` and `--uncommitted`; recheck the installed
version instead of fre
