# Pricing and Packaging
Turn incomplete market, customer, product, and financial evidence into a
testable pricing decision. Keep research findings, economic assumptions,
package design, and rollout choices separate so a polished price table does not
hide unsupported claims.
## Workflow
1. Define the decision before choosing numbers:
- product, target segment, market, currency, and buying context
- new offer, periodic review, test, or existing-customer migration
- accountable owner, decision date, rollout authority, and reversibility
- product promise, primary value event, alternatives, and business objective
- known cost, margin, contractual, billing, support, and operational limits
2. Build an evidence register. Separate observed behavior, transaction and
usage data, direct customer accounts, researched competitor facts,
stakeholder beliefs, modeled assumptions, and unknowns. Never turn missing
evidence into confident buyer language, market rates, or willingness to pay.

and a proportionate research plan. Use it before recommending exact prices
