# Create Spec Guide a collaborative discussion to explore a project idea, then synthesize the conversation into a comprehensive specification at `.turbo/specs/<slug>.md`. ## Task Tracking At the start, use `TaskCreate` to create a task for each step: 1. Capture the vision and pick a slug 2. Deep-dive discussion 3. Draft the spec 4. Run `/review-spec` skill 5. Run `/evaluate-findings` skill 6. Run `/apply-findings` skill 7. Review and finalize ## Step 1: Capture the Vision and Pick a Slug Absorb whatever the user has provided — a sentence, a paragraph, a brain dump. Do not interrupt or ask questions yet. Restate the vision back in two or three sentences to confirm understanding. Pick a slug for the spec file derived from the project or feature name: - Lowercase - Replace non-alphanumeric characters with hyphens - Collapse consecutive hyphens - Trim leading and trailing hyphens - Truncate to 40 characters at a word boundary Example: "Photo Sorter v2" → `photo-sorter-v2`. The user may pass an explicit slug; if so, honor it. If `.turbo/specs/<slug>.md` already exists, use `AskUserQuestion` to ask whether to overwrite, append a numeric suffix (`-2`, `-3`, ...), or pick a different slug. State the chosen slug and the resulting spec path before continuing. Then use `AskUserQuestion` to ask 1-4 focused opening questions targeting the biggest unknowns. Skip anything the user already answered. Prioritize from: - What problem does this solve, and for whom? - Is this greenfi...

specdd

Spec-driven development orchestrator that turns vague, top-of-mind feature requests into production-grade specifications before any code is written. ALWAYS use this skill whenever the user describes a feature, change, capability, screen, flow, or new component in plain language — even if they don't explicitly ask for a spec. Triggers on phrases like "build me", "make me", "add a feature", "I want to", "help me create", "implement", "let's build", "I need a", "can you make", "create a screen/page/component", or any new-feature request that lacks complete requirements (missing user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, error/empty/loading states, accessibility, or non-functional requirements). Interviews the user to fill gaps, applies UX/UI common sense, produces a structured spec + plan + tasks, then implements against the spec. Use this BEFORE writing any code for non-trivial features. Skip only for true one-liners (rename a variable, fix a typo, answer a research question) or work that is purely investig

spec-builder

Transform vague product or feature ideas into concrete, detailed specification documents through an interactive interview process. Use when the user wants to flesh out an idea, create a spec, write requirements, plan a product/feature/prototype, or go from "I have this idea..." to a concrete document. Works for software products, physical products, services, or any concept that needs specification.

spec-creator

Turn a feature request into implementation-ready spec files for a coding agent. Use whenever the user wants to plan, scope, or write a spec for a feature about to be built — "write a spec for X", "plan feature Y", "how should we build Z", "draft an implementation plan". Produces a parent epic plus one file per independently-buildable slice. Prefer over write-spec when the audience is a coding agent, not an exec. Auto-applies the KeeForge overlay when the repo looks like KeeForge.
