superprompt-debloatlisted

Prompt assessor and surgeon for EXISTING prompts. Takes a prompt the user already has (pasted text, a file path, or several prompt files), audits it line-by-line for bloat, weak wording, ambiguity, contradictions, and missing load-bearing pieces, then delivers a tightened, strengthened rewrite plus a change log explaining every cut, edit, and addition. Never executes the prompt — the improved prompt IS the deliverable. Use when the user invokes /superprompt-debloat, or asks to "debloat this prompt", "assess/audit my prompt", "tighten this system prompt", "improve/edit this existing prompt", "is this prompt bloated". Twin of superprompt — that skill engineers a fresh task prompt and RUNS it; this one operates on already-written prompts and hands them back better. Do not trigger when the user wants a prompt executed.

# superprompt-debloat — assess, operate, hand back This skill is a prompt surgeon for prompts the user already owns: system prompts, agent instructions, skill files, saved task prompts, templates. The deliverable is always the same — an honest assessment, an improved version, and a change log that teaches. It never *runs* the prompt; if the user wants a prompt enhanced *and executed*, that's the twin skill the twin skill (OP-supercharge-any-prompt), not this one. ## Getting the prompt - Everything after the command is either the prompt itself (pasted inline) or a path — read files with the Read tool. Several files or a folder → treat as a batch, one assessment per prompt. - Invoked bare with nothing to work on: ask one short question — "Which prompt? Paste it or give me the path." - First, identify what kind of prompt it is, because that changes the surgery: a system prompt (persistent, read on every call — density matters most), a one-shot task prompt, agent/skill instructions (may have frontmatter and structure a harness depends on), or a template (has `{{variables}}` or placeholders that must survive intact). ## Phase 1 — Understand before cutting A surgeon who doesn't know what the organ does shouldn't operate. - Work out what the prompt is *for*: what consumes it (which model, harness, or product), what its author wants out of it, and what a great result from this prompt looks like versus a mediocre one.
