# Project vision Define project identity, audience, commitments, refusals, and falsifiability—not specifications, architecture, roadmaps, or trackers. ## Workflow role - role_name: vision - stage: authoring - upstream: explicit owner intent, repository state, and applicable project evidence - downstream: none automatically - summary: Establish or revise canonical project vision and keep derived README front-matter aligned. - ownership: Write only authorized `VISION.md`, supporting strategic rationale, README marker-bounded content, and required same-change evidence. - must_not_claim: proposal, specification, architecture, plan, implementation, review, verification, branch, PR, release, or deployment completion ## Workflow Fit This upstream skill does not hand off automatically. Use it at project genesis or for a surfaced vision-level conflict. ## Inputs To Read Start with compact project inputs: `CONSTITUTION.md`, `AGENTS.md`, root `VISION.md`, README content between `<!-- vision:start -->` and `<!-- vision:end -->`, relevant proposals, and useful project-map evidence. Retired root `vision.md` is an ordinary file only when explicitly requested. Use summary and stable-ID first reasoning with check IDs, requirement IDs, proposal IDs, section names, file paths, counts, and line citations. Expand only for insufficient or conflicting evidence. ## Edit Authorization `CONSTITUTION.md` outranks `VISION.md`; `VISION.md` is canonical; `VISION.md` outranks README front-matter....

vision

Keep a project's vision written down and alive. Creates and maintains VISION.md at the repo root - the statement of what the building is trying to be, which bedrock, potential, devour, and any implementing agent read before judging, dreaming, or building. Three moments - birth (carry a warroom-style exploration's distilled intent into a new project repo), backfill (a project already alive with no vision artifact - read the building, interview the visionary, write it), and refresh (the artifact has drifted from current intent - reconcile and update). Use when the user says write the vision, vision this project, this repo has no vision doc, the vision is stale, refresh the vision, backfill the vision, or wants to hand a project off from exploration into development.

vision

Use when a project needs the layer ABOVE personas and jobs - what the product IS, why it exists, and what it refuses to become. Writes docs/ux/vision.md in nine layers (essence, core idea, system behaviour, user role, principles, anti-vision, horizon, the one sentence, and the alignment test) and installs a vision-alignment rule into the project's own instruction file so later features get checked against it. Triggers - "vision" / "видение", "product vision" / "продуктовое видение", "what is this product about", "define product direction", "write a vision", new project with no direction, a feature that feels off-strategy.

vision
