Step 6 of the hyperbuild pipeline — research area 03-design-system. The orchestrator names EXACTLY 3 design directions that are three genuinely DIFFERENT VISUAL WORLDS (each committing to its own answer on type personality, depth model, shape language, color strategy, density, and data/status form), then spawns ONE wave: 3 hb-design-researcher subagents (one per direction) plus 2 (standard) / 3 (premier) hb-stack-researcher subagents on the SHARED dimensions the platform forces on all three directions — what the target framework can actually render, font availability and licensing, platform design-language conventions, accessibility/contrast constraints. # Step 6 — Design research (area `03-design-system`) You are executing step 6 (design-research) of the hyperbuild pipeline. Step 5 (stack research) just committed the technical stack; step 7 will turn each of the three direction docs you produce here into a complete design system, and the user will eventually pick exactly ONE of the three — so all three must be shippable. **Goal:** name EXACTLY 3 design directions, fill research area `research/03-design-system/` with all four phases (`research/`, `verify/`, `critique/`, `author/` + `_INDEX.md`), and leave the run-local letter↔direction mapping at `runs/<run_tag>/designs/directions.md`. **⚠ CRITICAL: THREE directions, not one, not two, and NO strawmen.** The design gate (step 12) verifies all three designs have all screens.
