# Glycoengineering ## Overview Glycosylation is the most common and complex post-translational modification (PTM) of proteins, affecting over 50% of all human proteins. Glycans regulate protein folding, stability, immune recognition, receptor interactions, and pharmacokinetics of therapeutic proteins.
