agent-deck-recall

Featured

Record and later find what an agent-deck session was for, across harnesses. Use when the user says "remember what this session was for", "tag this session", "annotate", "mark the outcome", "ticket for this session", or wants to search past conversations. Phase 1 covers hints and tags (add/launch --hint, session annotate, remote annotate); transcript search, context handoff and MCP are coming in the next phases.

# Recall Recall is agent-deck's memory of what every session was for and what happened in it. Human intent (hints, tags) lives in the profile's state.db and survives everything; the transcript index (recall.db) is disposable and arrives in the next phases. Full design: `docs/recall.md` in the repo. ## Phase 1 (available now): hints and tags Hints are single-valued per key (setting a key again replaces it). Tags are a set. Well-known keys: `purpose`, `ticket`, `why`, `decision`, `outcome`, `note`, `parent`; any identifier-shaped key works. ### At creation (`add` and `launch`) ```bash agent-deck add . -c claude --hint purpose="fix flaky auth test" --ticket SB-412 --tag auth --tag flaky --why "3rd regression" agent-deck launch . -c claude --ticket SB-412 -m "Fix the flaky auth test" ``` - `launch` derives `purpose` from the first line of `-m` and both commands derive `parent=<parent id>` for a child; an explicit `--hint purpose=` wins. - `conductor setup <name>` records `purpose=conductor <name>`. - `--json` echoes `hints` and `tags`. ### Afterwards (`session annotate`) ```bash agent-deck session annotate <id> --decision "root cause was clock skew" --outcome worked --tag clock-skew agent-deck session annotate <id> --set-hint ticket=SB-413 --remove-tag flaky --unset why agent-deck session annotate --self --outcome worked # your own session (AGENTDECK_INSTANCE_ID) agent-deck session annotate --self --note-stdin < summary.md # free-text note, 8 KiB cap agent-...

akashic-memory

Use whenever you work in the Akashic Aurora repo (E:\AI-Setup) — at session start, after ANY fix that first failed, whenever the user corrects you, and at session end. This is the shared-memory door; capture is the product, so use it even when the task feels too small to record. Also use when deciding whether knowledge belongs in a lesson, a note, a doc, or a hook.

chat-recall

Recall past AI-coding work — prior sessions, decisions, and project history — through the chat-recall MCP tools (recall_*). Use when the user says "continue" / "pick up where we left off", "did we decide X", "remember when we…", "what was I doing", "what do you know about this project/me", or otherwise references earlier work that is not in the current context. Also the entry point for the surfaces no focused skill owns: team activity ("what is my team working on"), the ranked findings views ("what should I fix next", "what should I tell Claude about this repo"), and index health ("is chat-recall working", "re-index my sessions"). Leaked secrets go to chat-recall-security and the task board to chat-recall-tasks. This is the hub: it routes to the focused chat-recall skills and lists every recall_* tool. Reach for it whenever the answer lives in PAST work rather than the files in front of you.

session-recall

Search the unified local history of past Claude Code and Codex sessions at the START of a task when the user references a prior bug, feature, decision, file, or piece of work. Use before assuming fresh context for prompts such as "remember when…", "we worked on…", "the X bug", "back to…", "what did we decide about…", or any task that plausibly has history.
