# frontier-digest — FH Frontier Insight Collection & Synthesis > Automatically collects the latest AI/agent/harness engineering trends from HackerNews and arxiv, > then compresses and synthesizes them into insights directly relevant to forge-harness skills and structure. ## Triggers ``` /frontier-digest # immediate execution /frontier-digest --save # save result to file "what's on the frontier" "this week's AI trends" "harness trends" "latest agent developments" "any ideas for improving the harness?" ``` --- ## Step 0. API Environment Detection This is the trend-scan specialization (rung 3) of the **Deep-Research Capability Ladder** (`../../../../knowledge/shared/harness-core/deep_research_capability_ladder.md`). The ladder owns the **cross-rung routing** (when a task is trend-scan at all vs general research); the `Priority:` block below is frontier-digest's own **internal engine resolution** for the HN/arxiv case (API-key vs WebSearch) — a narrower detection, not a re-definition of the cross-rung ladder. ``` Priority: 0. /deep-research built-in available (check live session skill list) → use it as the collection+verification engine (staged source gathering, cross-checking, cited synthesis) — Tier-0 route, no API key needed 1. ANTHROPIC_API_KEY environment variable → Claude Sonnet 2. Neither → WebSearch mode (raw data only, no synthesis) ``` Report detection result in one line. ai-frontier-dispatch

Produce a personalized, source-disciplined AI and markets briefing with portable Claude and Codex workflows, optional live-X research, persistent run and source-health state, and explicit claim-evidence records. Use for a digest, briefing, roundup, morning dispatch, what-did-I-miss request, or scheduled AI and markets review.

frontier-model-watch

On-demand Category 1 researcher for frontier-model news (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Meta, Mistral, emerging) with the "what changes for enterprise dev tooling" angle. Specifically — which models route through Copilot per-feature? What deprecations are imminent? What new capabilities affect AI-tool TPRM posture or model-risk reviews? Output at vault/research/frontier-model/YYYY-MM-DD-{slug}.md. Composes with ai-coding-tools-compare (model side of the tool comparison) and the weekly-intelligence-digest (the recurring intelligence pipe). Use when the user asks to research a specific frontier-model release, deprecation, availability shift, or benchmark on demand — producing a fresh, cited research note — not the scheduled quarterly landscape survey (quarterly-ai-coding-landscape), a tool-level comparison (ai-coding-tools-compare), or a recurring news sweep (weekly-intelligence-digest).

refreshing-anthropic-guidance

Sweeps the local Claude Code harness — agents, skills, hooks, rules, workflows, CLAUDE.md — against Anthropic's current guidance/models, diffs last-verified state, plans remediation. Use for /refreshing-anthropic-guidance, "is our harness up to date with Anthropic", "model pins current". Distinct from researching-anthropic-guidance and auditing.
