Guides strengths-based organizational change using Cooperrider's Appreciative Inquiry 4D cycle: Discovery, Dream, Design, and Delivery. Surfaces peak experiences and positive patterns to amplify what works rather than fixing what is broken. Use when addressing team morale, redesigning processes, integrating acquisitions, reframing organizational challenges, or running culture transformation initiatives where traditional deficit-based problem-solving has stalled.

The orthodox approach to organisational change -- diagnose what is broken, analyse root causes, prescribe solutions -- carries an unexamined assumption: that progress comes from eliminating deficits. David Cooperrider, working at Case Western Reserve University in the 1980s, proposed something radical. What if the fastest path to transformation is not fixing weaknesses but systematically amplifying strengths? What if the questions you ask determine the reality you find -- and organisations that ask "what is wrong?" get very good at cataloguing dysfunction, while organisations that ask "what works brilliantly, and how do we get more of it?" generate energy, alignment, and change that deficit-based approaches rarely achieve? This is not positive thinking. Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a structured methodology backed by four decades of organisational research. It does not deny problems; it reframes the unit of analysis. Rather than treating the organisation as a machine with broken parts, AI treats it as a living system whose best moments contain the DNA of its future. The shift is neither naive nor cosmetic -- it is epistemological. --- ## The Framework ### The Core Principle: The Constructionist Premise Appreciativ...

ai-communication-culture

Equips leaders to build flat, participative communication cultures that enable successful AI adoption by bridging technical and business teams, democratising data, and establishing feedback loops. Covers the symphony conductor model, soliciting expert feedback, removing bureaucratic obstacles, and building shared responsibility. Use when AI projects fail due to communication breakdowns, when data scientists and business leaders operate in silos, when employees lack channels to provide AI feedback, when hierarchical structures block information flow, or when leaders need to translate between technical and business perspectives.

ai-opportunity-finder

Coaching skill that helps teams find where AI creates the most impact in their own processes. Use when user says 'find AI opportunities', 'where can we use AI', 'AI use cases for my business/team/ops', 'what should we automate', 'AI opportunity assessment', or 'identify processes for AI'. This is a coaching skill, not a consulting one - it asks questions instead of prescribing solutions, running Design Thinking, 5 Whys, First Principles, and Second Order Thinking to surface pain points and root causes, then IERF (Impact, Effort, Feasibility, Readiness) to prioritize - ending in a prioritized opportunity register the team discovered themselves.
