# /digital-marketing-pro:backlink-gap ## Purpose Identify the highest-leverage backlink prospects — domains that link to multiple competitors but not to you — and rank them by an opinionated priority score that combines authority, link-overlap signal, downstream traffic, and topical relevance. Produces a numbered output bundle ready for outreach handoff. ## Context efficiency Heavy skill. **Grep before Read** any referenced file, then `Read` only matched ranges with `offset` + `limit`. List `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_DATA}/<brand>/` before opening files. On re-invocation mid-session, skip files already in context. ## When to Use - Quarterly backlink audit — "where did our competitors grow links this quarter and we didn't?" - Pre-launch link-building plan for a new product or content hub - Digital PR qualification — separating "would-link-to-anyone" prospects from "high-confidence-will-link-to-our-space" - Competitive recovery — a competitor displaced you and you want to know which links moved - Onboarding a new client and need a "first 50 link targets" backlog **Don't use** when you just need backlink *quantity* numbers (use the brand's connected backlink MCP directly) or when you need *anchor-text* analysis of your own profile (that's a separate audit — covered in `seo-audit`). ## Brand context (auto-applied) 1. Read `~/.claude-marketing/brands/_active-brand.json` for the active slug, then load `~/.claude-marketing/brands/{slug}/profile.json` 2. If no brand exists: ask "Set u...

backlink-audit

Backlink / off-page SEO audit. Works WITHOUT a paid tool by default — it uses the Google Search Console Links report (your top linking sites, most-linked pages, and anchor text) plus any backlink export the user provides (Ahrefs / Semrush / Majestic / DataForSEO CSV). Analyzes referring-domain profile, anchor-text distribution (over-optimized / spammy patterns), most-linked pages vs. money pages (internal-linking opportunity), toxic/spam link signals, and link-building priorities. Use this skill when the user asks about backlinks, link building, off-page SEO, referring domains, anchor text, toxic/spam links, disavow, or their link profile. Trigger on: "backlinks", "backlink audit", "link building", "off- page SEO", "referring domains", "anchor text", "toxic links", "spam links", "disavow file", "who links to me", "link profile", "domain authority". NOTE: rich third-party metrics (DR/DA, full link index) require a paid data source; this skill is explicit about what it can and can't see without one.

competitor-content-gap-analysis

Analyze 2-5 named competitors' content (up to 20-30 URLs per competitor, sampled from sitemap or nav-crawled), map their topic coverage, and benchmark the brand's own coverage against theirs to identify three distinct gap types — content gaps (topics competitors cover that the brand doesn't), quality gaps (topics both cover but where competitor content is genuinely weaker), and intent gaps (topics with only informational coverage but missing commercial-investigation or transactional pages). Produces prioritized opportunities ranked by leverage × winnability rather than feature-parity chasing. Use this skill whenever a user asks about competitor research, content gap analysis, SERP competitor comparison, "what are my competitors doing that I'm not," adjacent-angle strategy, or when LLM Citation Audit flagged prompts locked by competitor moats where the fix is NOT head-on attack but finding adjacent winnable positions. Chains opportunistically with brand-kit.md (competitors, category), entity-topical-map.md (ca
