# AWS FDE Delivery ## Purpose Apply a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) delivery model to any AWS engagement: show up with a working system, not a slide deck. An FDE embeds with the problem, builds the thing, and proves it runs on real (or realistically simulated) infrastructure before handing off a recommendation. This skill encodes the mandatory artifact set every AWS deliverable must ship with, the rule for grounding cost claims in real pricing data, and the rule for preferring AWS MCP Servers over raw CLI at the execution layer. This is a delivery contract, not a technical how-to. It governs what "done" means for an AWS engagement deliverable; pair it with the relevant AWS domain skill (serverless, databases, migration, deployment) for the technical implementation itself. ## When to Use - User asks for an AWS solution proposal, architecture recommendation, or POC for a client, prospect, or internal stakeholder. - A background task is scoped to "build and deliver" something on AWS, not just describe it. - Career Ops or portfolio work needs an AWS deliverable that has to survive technical scrutiny (interview take-homes, client pitches, demo requests). - Any output that will be handed to someone else as the basis for a build-vs-buy or architecture decision. ## The Build-First Contract Slideware is not a deliverable. Every AWS engagement ships all five artifacts below, or explicitly marks the ones it couldn't produce and why. Partial delivery is acceptable; silen...

fde-scoping

When the user needs to scope a customer deployment or services engagement and write the statement of work that governs it — in-scope and out-of-scope, milestones with acceptance criteria, customer dependencies, estimate and change control. Also use when the user mentions 'statement of work', 'write the SOW', 'scope this deployment', 'is this in scope', 'out of scope', 'they keep asking for extra work', 'they want it thrown in for free', 'scope creep', 'this project has grown on me', 'how much work is this actually', 'estimate the effort', 'is this a change order', 'the milestone never got signed off', or 'kickoff readiness'. Use this whenever someone is agreeing what will be built for a customer and by when, even if they never say 'SOW' — a pilot, a POC or a 'quick favour' turning into a maintained system is this skill. For architecture and tech debt, see fde-account-plan. For the plan after signature, see onboarding-plan. For build-or-not, see custom-vs-product. For proving the outcome, see value-case.

fulcra-fde

Act as Fulcra's forward-deployed engineer — take a business plan, deck, or project idea; interview the user to surface goals and assumptions; map the product onto Fulcra primitives; build a verification prototype, then the real thing. Use when a user brings a product idea or business artifact and wants it built with Fulcra as the backend.

fsl-delivery

Orchestrate an FSL-centered delivery workflow from business planning through PM requirements, engineering design, verification, refinement, scenarios, testgen/replay, and implementation conformance. Use when the user asks to drive a feature/project "from planning to implementation" with FSL as the backbone, connect business to requirements to design to implementation, create an end-to-end FSL development plan, or coordinate the existing fsl-business, fsl-requirements, fsl-design, and fsl-design-review skills.
