# Original work from a brief The studio is infrastructure. The program is the art. Never restrict a new brief to the example's flowers, palette or layout. Build the new system in these files: - `sketch/project.json`: `spec: "fieldwork/1"`, a stable lowercase `id`, title, brief, seed, named `formats` with width/height in pixels, `controls`, and optional image `assets`. - `sketch/artwork.js`: JavaScript function body returning SVG children as a string. - `sketch/DESIGN.md`: the brief, decisions, requested deliverables, revisions and evidence. - `studio/`: reusable UI and runtime. Change it only when the task needs a new authoring capability. ## Renderer contract The function receives `width`, `height`, `seed`, `values`, `assets`, `rng` and `svg`. `rng('named-stream')` returns a stable random-number function. Never use time or `Math.random()` for the geometry. `values` contains the current control values; `assets.name` is an embedded image URL or an empty string. `svg.el(tag, attributes, children)` and `svg.text(text, attributes)` escape attributes and text. The latter is essential for the person's real text (including `&` and `<`). ```js const r = rng('constellation'); const marks = Array.from({length: values.stars}, () => svg.el('circle', { cx: r() * width, cy: r() * height, r: 1 + r() * 4, fill: values.ink })); return svg.el('rect', {width, height, fill: values.paper}) + marks.join(''); ``` That tiny example illustrates the contract, not an acceptable finished commi...

editorial-svg

Generate editorial SVG illustrations — blog thumbnails, article artwork, post cover images, OG images — from a seeded primitive library (blob, gesture, arrow, node, panel, hand, cursor, cluster) in a restrained flat-field / paper / ink / accent visual system. Use this whenever the user wants a thumbnail, cover image, hero graphic, diagram-style artwork, or illustration for a post, page, or project, and whenever they ask to draw, illustrate, or hand-write an SVG — even if they never say "editorial" or name the library. Also use it before writing SVG paths directly, so output stays in the house style instead of drifting into generic clip-art.

art-brief

Composes the art bible for a creative asset — project context, visual language, technical spec, artistic references, priority-weighted requirements, and explicit avoids — from any inputs: text descriptions, reference images, project context, IP references, asset lists, or rough sketches. Use whenever a user wants to create, write, or generate an art brief, style guide, asset spec, or art direction document for any creative asset — game art, film, industrial design, illustration, concept art, props, characters, environments, creatures, marketing assets, or physical fabrication. Triggers on: "write me a brief for...", "I need to brief a vendor on...", "help me spec out this asset", "how do I describe this art style to an artist", "I have this idea and need to get it on paper", or "turn this concept into something I can send to a studio." Core purpose: compress a creator's mental vision into the highest-fidelity written specification possible, minimizing lossy transfer between minds. Also handles brief iteration

genart

Craft long-form generative art for onchain platforms — Art Blocks, 256ART, Verse, Highlight, Plottables, bootloader.art, or a self-hosted drop — and for screen diffusion channels such as Artpoint. Covers hash-seeded determinism, resolution-agnostic rendering, features and rarity design, preview capture signals, debug GUIs and image/video export shortcuts, verification of a sketch before minting, and the ethics of the field. Use when the user mentions generative art, gen art, creative coding, long-form, onchain art, a seeded sketch, a PRNG or deterministic randomness, traits, rarity, features, a mint, a plotter or SVG output, art on screen or delivering a piece as a video, or pastes platform APIs such as tokenData, $features, inputData, $bootloader, BTLDR, hl-gen, or a base64 payload query param.
